The Feast of Tabernacles is a collection of teachings by Richard Mikelson.

These teachings explore spiritual depths of influential texts of scripture,  and of the human condition.

Dominion Through Prayer

In that long-ago beginning of the Adamic race, God created a man who was to be fruitful, to multiply, and replenish the earth, to subdue it, to have dominion over every living thing that is upon the earth. As such, Adam, as God’s son, was set as the very master, the ruler over the earth. God had placed His creation under the dominion of this man who was made in His own image. It was God’s plan that this man should become the extension of God’s heavenly dominion, the place of God’s dwelling. God Himself would exercise dominion by communing in fellowship with Adam — until Adam fell into a earthly prison of decay and death:

“So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown a perishable body, it is raised an imperishable body; it is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power; it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body. So also it is written, ‘The first man, Adam, became a living soul.’ The last Adam became a life-giving spirit. However, the spiritual is not first, but the natural; then the spiritual. The first man is from the earth, earthy; the second man is from heaven. As is the earthy, so also are those who are earthy; and as is the heavenly, so also are those who are heavenly. Just as we have borne the image of the earthy, we will also bear the image of the heavenly.” I Corinthians 15:42-49 NAS

The prayers of the second man, the Lord Jesus Christ, are not repetitious form just for show. He himself often prays and everything responds to His great power:

"Then Jesus came with them to a place called Gethsemane, and said to His disciples, ‘Sit here while I go over there and pray.’” Matthew 26:36 NAS

“Jesus was going through all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every kind of disease and every kind of sickness. Seeing the people, He felt compassion for them, because they were distressed and dispirited like sheep without a shepherd. Then He said to His disciples, ‘The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Therefore beseech the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest.’ Jesus summoned His twelve disciples and gave them authority over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal every kind of disease and every kind of sickness." Matthew 9:35 - 10:1 NAS

His commands are to make disciples today also. His disciples are still praying for proper laborers, real workers of miracles to be sent among us. Today creation is not groaning for more church builders, but for God to manifest His sons. He does extend authority over all kinds of disease and sickness. All uncleanness is subject to be healed and much more.

Jesus’s prayer is a going concern for those who would join His prayer. They help unveil the invisible world of spirit to become wonderfully transparent in the thinking of men on earth. Jesus looks deep into our hidden connections of heart, beyond cause and effect, to unfold His truth within us. He is granting a true communion with God’s heavenly realms as we are caught up to know Him in spirit. Yes, He prays even today for the proper laborers to enter His universal harvest.

Adam’s original destiny appears clearly in the Hebrew language’s recording of creation. He was to replenish it, to subdue it, and to have dominion over the earth and everything in it. These clear expressions show us that the man Adam was meant to be a ruler. Adam was the extension of God’s will in the earth. Adam was to bring harmony within God’s creation, to be God’s viceroy for good.

Adam was to be positively creative yet subject to God. Adam was empowered to “name” the animal kingdom, to bring about natures that would be subject to His intent. In accordance with such a high destiny, the position Adam occupied was capable of receiving divine instruction and power for walking and talking with God at his disposal.

What sin destroyed, God’s grace in His Son Jesus has restored. That first man Adam became a subject of corrupt purposes in pursuit of vain temporary goals. The second man, Jesus, is the Lord out of heavenly substance that won back the lost dominion God intended for mankind. He has become a life quickening spirit. What Adam failed in, Jesus Christ has, for us, demonstrated a victory.

Christ Jesus has regenerated our spirit to regain MORE of Adam’s original purpose and position! We are risen and abiding with an incorruptible crown, for we have an inheritance with the saints abiding in light:

"Ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you." John 15:7

“Do you not know that the saints shall judge the world?” I Corinthians 6:2

Those who demonstrate God’s power in dispensing love, mercy and kindness are granted judgment to understand the mysteries of God. The New Testament is inspired to them. They declare Christ brings mature believers to Adam’s original destiny to exercise dominion over their own earthly members — and much, much more. Such overcomers have indeed been granted spiritual power!

Each has their own calling, certain to obtain and dispense the powers of heaven right here and now. With holy boldness sons of God make known God’s Word and Spirit. They declare life has been granted them and they pray through every earthly circumstance until refined and crowned as kings and priests of God’s present administration.

The true church of the living God has a higher calling, a holier calling than what has been seen in the candlestick church realms called “church.” Jesus has caught up members of His body who have been introduced to the spirit of the Lord’s Day. “In the spirit” of a new time, a third thousand years brings a washing of His Word and joining of spiritual hearts to reap us into His harvest feast.

His Word has created many mansions called His “house,” yet, we are come to a universal convocation that is in spiritual Mt. Zion. This is an order of life within the New Jerusalem realm, the homeland of every true saint of Christ. Jesus takes us past man’s original destiny, so that we can now bear the image of a Celestial Life that cannot die.

Until now our body has been dead because of sin, yet now our spirit is made alive, and because He lives, we live joined to the spirit of Life in Christ Jesus. God’s King has set up a heavenly kingdom through two thousand years of secret work among the candlestick churches. Through it, He gathered certain overcomers who inherit God life.

Adam fell and all his descendants fell into death with him. The Adamic race is fallen. All races of mankind are fallen into the beastly nature that will kill, lie, cheat, and cause contentions, confusion, and warfare. The whole creation, all of mankind, is groaning in pain and in travail, being captured in this same death, until now.

Now, for us, the day of the Lord has come! We see how God has gathered candlestick church overcomers into a high spiritual place. The original destiny and dignity of God’s sons are gathered as His true church. They have been gathered for two thousand years, as He has added to their number faithfully in every generation. Now after two “days”, it is clear He has made up a kingdom of priests after the order of Melchizedek.

It is indeed God’s purpose for these sons who are true to the Lord’s appearing to now take BOLD POSITIONS IN THEIR WORDS OF WORSHIP. THEIR DECLARATION AND PRAYERS challenge every lie and the death state of Adam. Some speak His mind into existence in every situation they face. A New Creation Man is vivified when Christ Jesus’s Spirit quickens our inner man!

We again become the representative of God on earth, in order to subdue it and restore it to harmony. This occurs in our hearts as Christ within us appears and overcomes that earthly man to speak the words of truth as being our testimony. Our prayers intervene with a manifestation that delivers. We pray God will release people from disease and deaths of all sorts, delivered into an active redemption that works within their heart also. Inner spiritual dominion is for NOW.

Man was created to be a house, a HABITATION for God to indwell. Now thru Christ Jesus, a man has been restored and redeemed. He is advising us to pray and, by prayer, extend the dominion of God’s will:

“My house shall be called the house of prayer.” Matthew 21:13

“And I perceived, in the center of the throne and of the four animals, and in the center of the elders, a Lambkin standing, as though slain, having seven horns, and seven eyes which are the seven spirits of God, commissioned for the entire earth. And It came and has taken the scroll out of the right hand of Him Who is sitting on the throne.

And I saw between the throne the four living creatures and the elders a Lamb standing, as if slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God, sent out into all the earth. And He came and took the book out of the right hand of Him who sat on the throne. When He had taken the book, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each one holding a harp and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.

And they sang a new song, saying, ‘Worthy are You to take the book and to break its seals; for You were slain, and purchased for God with Your blood men from every tribe and tongue and people and nation.’ You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to our God; and they will reign upon the earth."

Revelation 5:6-10 NAS
