Meek Inherit the Earth

“Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.” Matthew 5:5 KJV

Meekness is established in a relationship between a son and the Father. The acid test of true meekness comes when our heavenly Father uses someone else to bring His discipline to His sons or daughters. Those who are truly meek will rejoice in submitting to the Father’s processing. They certainly will level no blame or attitude of accusation against the one who is the immediate instrument through whom discipline or correction is given, as sons can see God working in ALL things.

Meekness is an attitude of devoted humility, a divine quality taking root within our spirit springing up in kindness and meekness toward others, including those who despitefully use us. Our Father does ALL things well and meekness is recognition of that. We still may not fully understand at any given moment why what is done is done in the manner in which it is, yet we learn to rely on the living God meekly. Trusting God can be most difficult when life’s tests reform our character to be conformed to the image of the firstborn son.

On our behalf, Jesus displayed a willingness to be crucified as He proceeded to be judged of religious men and worldly leaders. Rather than silently resenting or openly cursing to retaliate against His murderers, His meekness is seen in essence when He prayed, "Father forgive them, they know not what they are doing.”

In His heart rested the knowledge "Father, you are doing this thing well. I am on this cross because it is your will. These Roman fellows are not the power that put me here. It is for the fulfillment of your plan that I am here. And, Father, because it is your will, I pray you forgive them for they do not know what they are doing.” That is PERFECT meekness in PERFECT submission to the will of the Father.

“And He went a little beyond them, and fell on His face and prayed, saying, ‘My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; yet not as I will, but as You will.’ ” Matthew 26:39 NAU

This is the measure of a truly meek character. This kind of meekness is formed by the residence of Christ within the Lord’s many brethren, those who are also sons of the living God. They are being qualified by God to inherit the earth. What looks impossible to man is very possible with God!

Man’s beastial nature makes him think and act as if it is the “strong killer” who prevails to control the earth. It would certainly seem that those who are skilled in the art of warfare have inherited the earth. The prevailing human attitude declares that “might makes right”. It is not so with God! The Almighty’s principle character is different. Meekness in the spirit of a man reveals access to the true character that comes as inheritance from God. As the scripture assures us, the meek shall (ultimately) inherit the earth.

What does “inherit the earth” really mean? Jesus took the phrase from the Old Testament scriptures. It was not a new phrase with Him:

"…for the Lord shall be thine everlasting light, and the days of thy mourning shall be ended. Thy people also shall be all righteous; they shall inherit the land for ever, the branch of my planting, the work of my hands, that I may be glorified." Isaiah 60:20-21

“For evildoers shall be cut off. But those that wait upon the Lord, they inherit the earth. For yet a little while and the wicked shall not be. Yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place and it shall not be. But the meek shall inherit the earth and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.” Psalm 37:9

'‘…the righteous shall inherit the land and dwell therein forever.” Psalm 37:29

“Wait on the Lord and keep His way and He shall exalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off thou shall see it.” Psalm 37:34

“He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be His God, and he shall be my son.” Revelation 21:7

Some seem satisfied with inheriting a place in heaven, and some with inheriting earthly substance, yet the sons and daughters of God shall inherit ALL THINGS TO POSSESS BOTH:

“The meek shall eat and be satisfied: they shall praise the Lord that seek Him: your heart shall live forever…” Psalm 22:26

Today the meek are eating the bread God gives them daily. They feed on what is coming to their spirit from the spirit of Jesus Christ and it becomes abundantly satisfying. Their heart, their inner spiritual being, is quickened by the Word given by the Spirit of God. Sons and daughters of God are experiencing this precious reality because God has spread a table of a new feast before them .

Daily He gives them bread that the worldly minded knows nothing about, including many of our brethren in the present day church systems. The wonderful promise of abundant provision has been bestowed upon us already! The marvelous result of His feeding of celestial hidden manna is that God’s life is formed within to be working a manifestation of Himself in the company making up His government of 144,000 “meek ones.”

When others finally see the pure and abundant law of life found in Christ Jesus flowing into the meek of the earth, it will cause men to howl and beg to possess and enjoy the same spiritual union with God their Father. When brethren captured in the many candlestick churches see the revelation of Jesus in the Day of the Lord, they too will meekly partake of the divine life. The glorious seven fold spirit will be sent into them to instantly recognize and recall that GOD BEGOT THEIR SPIRIT — He FATHERED them:

" Yet shall we not much rather be subjected to the Father of spirits and be living?" Hebrews 12:9 concordant

All the ends of the world shall remember and turn unto the Lord; and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before Thee. For the kingdom is the Lord’s: and He is the governor among the nations.” Psalms 22:27-28

If all the families, and all kindreds of people that have lived on the earth are to remember something of God, it means that they have already known something of the Father, and have experienced something of His life! Certainly that was before the Adamic race fell into the futility of sin and death. “All the kindreds of the nations" shall remember again and turn to His heavenly life until they are “satisfied,” until they have inherited and appropriated a full measure of His saving power.

Thus it is apparent that ALL THE FAMILIES, ALL KINDREDS OF EVERY NATION OF THE EARTH shall be quickened to true worship of our Father. We are already, right now, standing wonderfully in the light and workings of that very great third thousand year day, learning to worship God in spirit and truth!

“The meek shall eat and be satisfied: they shall praise the Lord that seek Him: your heart shall live forever. All the ends of the world shall remember and turn unto the Lord; and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before Thee. For the kingdom is the Lord’s: and He is the governor among the nations.

All they that be fat upon earth shall eat and worship; all they that go down to the dust shall bow before him; and none can keep alive his own soul. A seed shall serve Him; it shall be accounted to the Lord for a generation. They shall come, and shall declare his righteousness unto a people that shall be born, that He has done this.” Psalms 22:26-31

“A seed shall serve Him.” These are the meek who inherit the earth. They become filled with the incorruptible seed of God’s Word, meekly planting that Word into the hearing of all departed spirits of every generation. The seed serving Him are restored first and do enter into an inheritance promised of God. They are to recount the Father’s good pleasure unto past generations and coming generations.

Those who are not so meek now, those whose bodies have gone back to dust, those lost souls of every generation, are to be quickened to remember their true home. GOD SHALL RESTORE EVERY MAN AND WOMAN’S SPIRIT BACK INTO UNION WITH GOD, each one in due time. It will take ages for some, but in the end, all will remember and come.

To be an instrument filled with His seed that is functioning to restore people back into union with Him requires that we be changed first. We must sing a new song taught of the spirit, far from the earthly minded ways that have polluted with falsehood and flaws. Jesus is still standing to minister specifically and directly to the meek and therefore THROUGH the meek. Our own hearts have been won over by the forerunner, the Man of Galilee now exalted in the heavens:

“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek.” Isaiah 61:1

The meek hear the good tidings of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Joyous messages of the Kingdom are reserved and grasped only by the hearing ears of those who can hear what the spirit is saying. God makes the hearing ear as well as the seeing eye. Therefore do His disciples meekly inherit the earth — that is, things are made clear and delivered into the understanding of those who can hear what the spirit says.

This hidden principle works in the Kingdom of God. The scripture’s declarations of God’s great purposes in His elect seed company are the revelation of sons who serve Him meekly enough to really inherit the earth and all other things, as stated in John's record:

“He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be His God, and he shall be my son…” Revelation 21:7

The Lord has appointed us to hear and embrace the good news of the Kingdom. He is processing us daily to this end, thereby causing us to be conformed to His divine nature. He delivers us from the fleshly nature of fallen man because God is making a kingdom of priests who have less and less reason to glory in themselves.

Only those made alive are given the inner eyes and ears to understand sufficiently the will of the Father for RIGHT NOW. Therefore, with spiritual growth comes a grant of power to rule rightly over every earthly matter:

"Now the man Moses was exceedingly meek, above all the men which were upon the face of the earth." Numbers 12:3

Like Moses, the meekest man on the face of the earth, a calling to deliver His people from bondage rests upon a firstfruit people. They are the "seed company" who are destined to serve Him in leading the Lord's people out of Mystery Babylon's religious bondage into their promised homeland, the New Jerusalem, the spiritual city that is built and made by God.

The judgment is set. How long it will take remains to be seen, but we remind you, one day with the Lord is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day:

“Now of this one thing you are not to be oblivious, beloved, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not tardy as to the promise, as some are deeming tardiness, but is patient because of you, not intending any to perish but all to make room for repentance.” 2 Peter 3: 8-9 Concordant
