“Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.” Matthew 5:5 KJV
Meekness is established in our inner relationship with the Father and His Son. The acid test of processing true meekness comes when our heavenly Father uses someone else to bring discipline to our lives. God’s sons and daughters are truly made meek and do rejoice in submitting to the Father’s processing. They certainly do learn not to level blame or hold attitudes of accusation against others who are used as instruments through whom discipline or correction is given, for sons can see God working in all these things.
Meekness is an inner attitude devoted to a divine quality that once it has taken root within our heart will spring up with kindness and consideration toward others, including those who despitefully use us. Our Father does ALL things well and our hold on being meek is recognition of that. We can fully understand at any given moment why what is done is done in the manner in which it is. Through disappointments and misunderstandings we learn to rely on the living God meekly. Trusting God in the most difficult times is when our life is reformed and our character conformed to the proper image, the image of the firstborn son.
On our behalf, Jesus has displayed meekness in willingly being crucified. He proceeded to be judged falsely by religious men and worldly leaders. Rather than silently resenting or openly cursing or forming any sort of retaliation against His murderers, in meekness, with a sincere heart prayed, "Father forgive them, they know not what they are doing.” In His heart rested the knowledge "Father, you are doing this well. I am being crucified because it is your will. I can endure because I know joy lays ahead of these Roman fellows power to put me to death here. It is for the fulfillment of your plan that I am here. And, Father, because I know what you are doing, that it is your will, I pray you forgive them for they do not know what they are doing.” That is PICTURE PERFECT of meekness, being in PERFECT submission to the will of the Father.
“And He went a little beyond them, and fell on His face and prayed, saying, ‘My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; yet not as I will, but as You will.’ ” Matthew 26:39 NAU
This is the measure for our truly possessing a divinely meek character. Meekness is formed within our being by the residence of Christ within our spirit. Many of the Lord’s brethren, are being qualified by God to inherit the earth. Historically man’s beastial nature made him think and act as a “strong killer” to prevail in efforts to control the earth. It would certainly seem that those who are skilled in the art of warfare have been inheriting the earth. The prevailing human attitude among nations declares that “might makes right.” It is not to be so with God’s kingdom people!
The principles of divine character to be formed in the spirit of a man will reveal what access and destiny that individual comes to inherit from God. As the scripture assures us, the meek shall (ultimately) inherit the earth. What looks impossible to man is very possible with God! So what does “inherit the earth” really mean? This is a New Testament phrase Jesus made, yet it is found in the Old Testament scriptures. It was not a new phrase to Jesus:
"…for the Lord shall be thine everlasting light, and the days of thy mourning shall be ended. Thy people also shall be all righteous; they shall inherit the land for ever, the branch of my planting, the work of my hands, that I may be glorified." Isaiah 60:20-21
“For evildoers shall be cut off. But those that wait upon the Lord, they inherit the earth. For yet a little while and the wicked shall not be. Yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place and it shall not be. But the meek shall inherit the earth and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.” Psalm 37:9
'‘…the righteous shall inherit the land and dwell therein forever.” Psalm 37:29
“Wait on the Lord and keep His way and He shall exalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off thou shall see it.” Psalm 37:34
“The meek shall eat and be satisfied: they shall praise the Lord that seek Him: your heart shall live forever…” Psalm 22:26
“He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be His God, and he shall be my son.” Revelation 21:7
Some seem satisfied with inheriting a place in heaven when they die, and some with inheriting earthly substance, yet the sons and daughters of God shall only be satisfied to inherit ALL THINGS. Today the coming of Jesus Christ to our spirit becomes abundantly satisfying. Our heart, our inner spiritual being, is quickened by the Words given by the Spirit of God. Sons and daughters of God are experiencing precious reality of fellowshipping God in a new feast which has table already spread before us. Jesus gives us hidden manna, a bread that the worldly minded know nothing about. The wonderful promises of God are true and have abundant provisions to be bestowed upon us today! The marvelous result of His feeding us hidden manna is that God’s life will be formed within our being. God’s work will manifest a quality of meekness in those inheriting His governmental positions.
“Meek ones” see the pure and abundant law of life found in Christ Jesus flowing into their inner being while on the earth. This causes us to possess and enjoy age lasting spiritual union with God our Father, and allows us to see the revelation of Jesus in the Day of the Lord. The glorious seven fold Spirit of God is being sent into those who can instantly recognize and recall what GOD BEGETS WITHIN THEIR SPIRIT — what things He has FATHERED in them:
" Yet shall we not much rather be subjected to the Father of spirits and be living?" Hebrews 12:9 concordant
“All the ends of the world shall remember and turn unto the Lord; and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before Thee. For the kingdom is the Lord’s: and He is the governor among the nations.” Psalms 22:27-28
All the families and kindreds of people of the earth will remember something of God. Surly it means that we have already known something of the Father, and realize we need to experience something more of His life! Certainly the Adamic race, like all other men, fell into the futility of sin and death. Yet, “ all kindreds of the nations" shall remember again and turn to a heavenly life until they too find and are “satisfied,” until they have inherited and appropriated a fuller measure of His power to save, to be quickened and truly worship of our heavenly Father. We are already made alive to God, right now are standing wonderfully in an enlightenment and the workings a great day of God, a third day, a thousand year day when nations shall learn to worship the God of truth!
“The meek shall eat and be satisfied: they shall praise the Lord that seek Him: your heart shall live forever. All the ends of the world shall remember and turn unto the Lord; and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before Thee. For the kingdom is the Lord’s: and He is the governor among the nations.
All they that be fat upon earth shall eat and worship; all they that go down to the dust shall bow before him; and none can keep alive his own soul. A seed shall serve Him; it shall be accounted to the Lord for a generation. They shall come, and shall declare his righteousness unto a people that shall be born, that He has done this.” Psalms 22:26-31
“ We are the seed that shall serve Him.” These have been made the meek who inherit the earth. We become people filled with the incorruptible seed of God’s Word; it is transplanted into our heart, a Word is being bestowed to a seed serving Him, they are restored first and are entering into the promised inheritance of God. We will recount the Father’s good pleasure unto past generations and coming generations.
Most men are not so meek now, millions of bodies have gone back to dust. It seems those lost souls of every generation have not been quickened, and do not remember God is their true home. YET, GOD SHALL RESTORE EVERY MAN AND WOMAN’S SOUL and SPIRIT BACK INTO UNION WITH GOD, each one in their order, each one in due time. It will take ages for some, but in the end, all will remember and come. Thank God for the instruments filled with His nature now, a seed is serving Him, it is functioning to restore all people back into union with Him. We are required to be changed first. We must sing a new song taught of the spirit, we must be delivered from the earthly minded ways of religious men that have polluted with falsehood and flaws the church of former years. Jesus is standing and ministering specifically and directly to the meek, (not the proud).
“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek.” Isaiah 61:1
The meek can hear good tidings in the gospel of Jesus Christ. Joyous messages have been reserved and grasped by those who can hear what the spirit is saying to the churches. God forms within us the hearing ear as well as the seeing eye. This is how His disciples meekly inherit the earth; that is taking place now, as spiritual things are made clear and the Word of God delivers understanding to those who can hear what the spirit says. These are hidden principle working in the Kingdom of God. The scripture’s confirm great declarations of God’s purposes. A seed company does serve Him meekly enough to really inherit not only the earth but all heavenly things also, as stated in John's record:
“He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be His God, and he shall be my son…” Revelation 21:7
The Lord has appointed us to hear and embrace a spiritual processing that daily causes us to be conformed to His divine nature. He delivers us from our fleshly nature so we fit with a kingdom of priests who continually have less and less reason to glory in themselves. Light is given to the inner eyes of our understanding sufficiently for RIGHT NOW. Therefore, with spiritual growth into all His divine attributes comes greater power to inherit and rightly rule over every earthly matter:
"Now the man Moses was exceedingly meek, above all the men which were upon the face of the earth." Numbers 12:3
Moses, the meekest man on the face of the earth, was called to deliver His people Israel from bondage. Moses rests as an example of this “seed company people, a first fruit people.” This "seed company" are destined to lead the Lord's people out of Mystery Babylon's religious bondage into the glorious truths of a promised homeland, the New Jerusalem order, the spiritual city of God that is built and made by God, and not man. This judgment is set. How long it will take in time remains to be seen, but I too remind you, one day with the Lord is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day:
“Now of this one thing you are not to be oblivious, beloved, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not tardy as to the promise, as some are deeming tardiness, but is patient because of you, not intending any to perish but all to make room for repentance.” 2 Peter 3: 8-9 Concordant
